New to Saskatoon, well sort of... ViewSaskatoon was originally conceived as a For Sale by Owner site a couple of years ago to fill what was viewed as a need for a quality independent home sellers website. The idea was conceived as Kinash Digital Media Inc. CEO Brian Kinash left local Real Estate Software provider Point2 Technologies where he was employed as a systems administrator.

The project was shelved with onset of the massive boom of the Saskatoon real estate market, Brian's wife still jokes with him that the boom was the fault of his listing what was then their home on the ViewSaskatoon test site for more than double it's value (an act that was done to prevent serious inquiries) little did they know at the time that the unrealistic value that was posted would within 2 years fall nearly $100,000 of it's current value.

Saskatoon homes, Listings exposure for sales and rentalsIf the reason for shelving the project isn't clear it is as simple as that during the boom there was no real need for investing in quality marketing for your property listing. Truth be told you could pretty much holler out the window that you wanted to sell and there would be a line up at your door of offers reaching tens if not hundreds of thousands more than your original purchase price. The left no room for a new For Sale By Owner venture.

So here we are in 2009, the boom has subsided, the overstock has come down, the "market correction" of the prices seems to have stabilized and we are back to a "normal market" if you will. Once again listing exposure and marketing play an important role in selling your property, and View Saskatoon is back, with a new mandate - we are not a For Sale by Owner site, we do not provide yard signage, we can provide real estate photography through our sister Saskatoon Real Estate Photography please visit their website for more details. What the Real Estate portion of ViewSaskatoon.ca is about is simply Listings Exposure for your Saskatoon Property, our focus is to get your property noticed, to drive buyers and renters in your direction, and to provide individuals with a platform to list their property wants in order for sellers, landlords and their agents to contact them when they have a fitting property available.
